A search for a man reportedly carrying a gun resulted Saturday morning in the arrest of the individual allegedly hiding in pasture-type field on the northwestern edge of city.
Police Chief Josh Peterson said the man was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication, with possible additional charges pending further investigation.
Police were notified about 9:30 a.m. Saturday about a male with a gun in the 200 block of S. Avenue S. Further information indicated the man was seen running out of a house in the 2200 block of S. 2nd Street, according to police call logs.
