Sands returning to state with play

The first weekend in March, Sands High School won the Class 1A girls state basketball title in San Antonio.The first weekend in May, Sands will be aiming to capture another state title in University Interscholastic League (UIL) One-Act Play competition.Sands qualified for the state contest with its production of “Fire in the Hole” by finishing as one of the top two in regional competition this past weekend in Levelland.This will be the third time in four years that Sands has reached the state level – the only interruption being when all UIL activities were cancelled during the spring of 2020 ...
