Sands High School is one step away from making a return trip to state in University Interscholastic League (UIL) One-Act Play competition.The school’s production of “Fire in the Hole” was chosen Saturday to advance to the Class 1A regional round of competition from the area contest held at Frenship High School.Grady and Guthrie were the other schools chosen to advance from that area event to the Region 1-1A contest to be held April 23 at South Plains College in Levelland.Also competing at that contest will be Amherst, Fort Elliott and Groom.The contest is scheduled to begin at 12 noon.
