Dawson County and Lamesa continue their record of consecutive higher monthly sales tax rebates.The rebates represent local sales taxes collected by merchants and sent to the Texas comptroller’s along with the state sales tax revenue. The local tax revenue is then rebated monthly to the city, county or other entities for which it was collected.This month’s rebates represent purchases made during December and the fourth quarter of the year.The county enjoyed a $104,881 rebate.
