One person was flown by medical helicopter to a Lubbock hospital Friday afternoon following a one-vehicle rollover accident about five miles north of Lamesa on U.S. Highway 87. Initial reports at the scene indicate a 73-year-old Lamesa woman, her daughter, and a baby were involved in the accident, which was reported shortly before 1 p.m. One of the adults was trapped inside the GMC Envoy which overturned and came to rest on its left side in the median.
