Despite the ongoing pandemic that has prevented events and gatherings from taking place, the Lamesa Rodeo is set to happen as planned. Performances are scheduled to start this coming Thursday and run through next Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Lamesa Rodeo Arena on S. Houston Ave. Finals of the county events, such as the team roping and junior barrel racing, will be part of the opening performance on Thursday.
