TAHOKA – Tahoka City Council is proposing a tax cut of 2 cents for 2021, according to information published in this week’s edition of The News.
The council is proposing a tax rate of $0.727030 per $100 of property value, and will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in the Community Room at 1804 Avenue J to hear public comment. Last year’s tax rate was $0.747030.
Council members voted 3-0 in favor of proposing the 72- cent tax rate.
