Boys ages 11 through 17 or in the fifth through 12th grades are encouraged to join Lamesa Boy Scout Troop 708, which just recently has been reactivated.
The troop meets every Tuesday night, from 7:30 to 8:30, at the Boy Scout Hut, 224 North 24th Street, in Lamesa.
Activities that boys would participate in with the Boy Scouts include camping, canoeing, earning merit badges, and learning first aid. Annual dues are $33 for the Boy Scout troop.
