A bit of “Top Gun” style excitement came to Lamesa Thursday morning in the form of a Russian-made military attack helicopter. Flying from the Dallas area to Yuma, Ariz., the Mi-24 Hind landed for refueling at the Lamesa Municipal Airport. Alerted in advance, several dozen local residents headed to the airport for a look at the craft.
