Initial appraisal estimates from the Dawson County Central Appraisal District are good news for the Lamesa school system, according to Superintendent Jim Knight. Appraised property values are up about $50 million from a year ago in those initial estimates, Knight said during Tuesday’s regular meeting of the Lamesa school board. “It’s a rough estimate,” Knight emphasized about those initial figures.
