ANDREWS – Consider them the fast and furious. In two days, Permian Regional Medical Center (PRMC) and the health department combined to administer somewhere in the vicinity of between 1,000 and 2,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses.
There were first doses administered and second shots given at various locations. In short, it was a two-day immunization spree.
Coordinators perhaps had their heads spinning somewhat considering the amount of vaccine needing to be administered in a short span.
PRMC Chief Executive Officer Donny Booth said all the hospital’s 987 first-round Pfizer doses were administered over a 14-hour period last Wednesday and Thursday.
