Lamesa Police Chief Josh Peterson didn’t have any firm specifics, but did report a rash of burglaries within the past two months.Between June 1 and Aug. 3, there were six residential burglaries, one commercial burglary and four vehicle burglaries.“The officers are following up on some leads that we do have,” Peterson said. “We’ve got a few persons of interest that we’re looking at.”All the vehicles that were broken into were parked and unoccupied.“I believe the times have been various.
