The following were among the many calls received recently by the Lamesa Police Department: Monday, July 19 8:38 a.m. – An employee with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reported two white Dodge pickups with New Mexico license plates went rapidly around highway barricades west of Lamesa and clipped a TxDOT vehicle. The two pickups continued westbound on Hwy. 180 without stopping. One of the pickups reportedly was missing a mirror. 11:07 p.m. – Multiple calls were received about a structure fire in the 700 block of N. Ave. K.
