The following were among the many calls received recently by the Lamesa Police Department: Friday, Feb. 26 5:08 a.m. – A fire was reported atop the new part of the Lamesa High School building. It was determined to be coming from a rooftop gas line, which was quickly turned off by firefighters. 6:57 a.m. – A male was arrested in the 1200 block of Seminole Rd. and taken to the county jail.
