Lydia Aguilar, 44, was born and raised in Lamesa. She got married here. It is where she also bore three children and where they grew up.
Now after divorcing her second husband, and with her seven children and stepkids grown or living with their biological mother, it is time to leave Lamesa for the next chapter in her life.
“It is the perfect time to get out and do things for myself,” Aguilar said. “It was a very hard thing to do, but it was something that needed to be done.”
