The pilot of a small airplane which crashed between Lamesa and Gail on Friday night has been identified as 70-year-old Dennis Harrington of Hobbs, N.M.Harrington was flying from Addison, a suburb of Dallas, to Hobbs when the accident occurred at 7:18 p.m., according to a preliminary report issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).Harrington reportedly suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Medical Arts Hospital in Lamesa in stable condition.The DPS information states Harrington was attempting to land at the Lamesa airport to refuel.
