The Dawson ISD Board has appointed the school’s athletic director and discipline coordinator, Jon Patrick, as principal for the 2019-2020 school year in a meeting held this past Monday morning. Patrick plans to finish his administrator certification this summer. He currently is going through the process of attaining the certification through The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. This is Patrick’s first opportunity to take an administrative position, he said.
