Tears of joy flowed Tuesday afternoon during a special parade created just for the residents of the Focused Care skilled nursing facility here.
Due to COVID-19 regulations put in place by the state banning visitors at nursing homes, many of the residents haven’t had much personal contact with family members since March.
“They really don’t get to see their families unless they visit through the glass door,” said Kimberly Allison, director of life enrichment at Focused Care. “Some also use Zoom (a video conferencing program).
