This year’s high school graduates in Lamesa and surrounding schools will be recognized here Friday in a parade being organized by the Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce. “I think it’s going to be a good-sized parade,” Chamber President Karen Mize said Wednesday morning. “We’ve had a lot of calls.” The parade will honor this year’s graduates of Lamesa, Klondike, Dawson, Sands and O’Donnell high schools. Mize said Borden County graduates also were invited but that school is holding graduation on Friday. “We may even have some kindergarten graduates participating,” Mize said.
