Wade, Merritt win LISD spots
Kelli Merritt has been elected to another term on the Lamesa school board and Cam Wade will be taking a seat on the board.
Wade tallied 567 votes to finish at the front of a fourperson field seeking election to two at-large spots on the board of trustees.
Merritt, who currently is serving as board president, picked up 445 votes to finish second and win one of those two positions.
Jay DeFee tallied 351 votes and La Trista Brown received 334.
Wade will be replacing Don Bethel on the school board. Bethel opted not to seek re-election.
