Dawson County’s total COVID-19 case count has grown by only 40 during the past week, according to the latest information from the South Plains Public Health District (SPPHD).
The district’s website shows Dawson County has now had 1,422 confirmed cases of the virus among local residents as of Tuesday.
That is one of the lowest weekly increases in more than two months.
SPPHD on Tuesday reported 132 active cases of the virus among local residents, with 1,270 people having recovered since the first case here was reported last March.
The death toll here from the virus has not changed during the past week.
