SNYDER – Oilfield activity in Scurry County finished the year with fewer permits and completions reported here, according to data from the Railroad Commission of Texas. Through the first 10 months of the year, local producers have reported approximately 700,000 fewer barrels of crude oil have been produced. In October, local operators reported 1.14 million barrels of crude oil produced, 90,000 barrels more than was reported September. Last October, Scurry County oil wells produced 1.25 million barrels of crude oil.
