Three permits for oil drilling operations in Dawson County have been issued during the past month by the Oil and Gas Division of the Texas Railroad Commission.Two of those permits are for horizontal wells in the southern half of the county, while the other is for a vertical well north of Lamesa.CGS Operating Co. of Kilgore obtained a permit on May 9 to drill the Panther A Unit No. M 1H about eight miles southeast of Lamesa.The surface location for that well is less than a half mile east of United Gin, on the north side of County Road 25.The ...
