The O’Donnell High School’s Eagles Marching Band are taking their performance to the state University Interscholastic League (UIL) competition.They’ll be performing their “Rhapsody” performance before judges in the Alamodome in San Antonio on Election Day, Nov. 5.Their musical performance is a fusion of “Rhapsody in Blue,” a 1924 musical composition including jazz by George Gershwin, and Queens’ “Bohemian Rhapsody,” written by Freddie Mercury in 1975.The band made it to the state after capturing all 1’s in an impressive performance at the UIL marching band contest held in Lubbock Oct. 19.
