O’Donnell school board members Thursday approved the 2021-2022 budget but tabled action on a proposed tax increase of almost eight cents.The budget includes $4,560,238 in expenditures, and $4,561,287 in anticipated revenue.The current tax rate is $1.38140 per $100 valuation. Facing a drop in property values, the board considered increasing the tax rate to $1.46580 per $100 valuation.“I guess they just wanted to have more discussion,” said Superintendent Dr. Cathy Palmer.The board has until Sept. 30 to adopt a tax rate.
