When Medical Arts Hospital (MAH) staff heard 109 medical facilities were getting the first batch of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations earlier this month, they were disappointed that no rural facilities were among them.
When they recently learned small hospitals in Brownfield and Seminole could expect to receive vaccines in the next two weeks, and MAH was still not one of them, hospital staff were frustrated.
“The fact is rural hospitals were left out in the first round. Why did Brownfield and Seminole get it? I don’t know,” said Letha Stokes, MAH chief executive officer.
