STANTON - Many Martin County residents have not hesitated getting their COVID-19 vaccination and local health records indicate nearly 20 percent of the population is fully vaccinated. Texas reports almost four million people being fully vaccinated or just over 13 percent of the state-wide population. Martin County is estimated to have a population of 5,800 residents with 4,136 being 16 years of age and older and eligible to receive the vaccine.
