Mural piece once showed county’s patriotism

Sheltered in Room 202 on the second floor of the Dal Paso Museum is a piece of Dawson County’s past. It rests among the other pieces of the museum’s collection of America’s involvement in wars overseas.The museum’s collection includes military uniforms, medals and portraits and photographs of local residents who served during World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam Conflict and Operation Desert Storm.One of the historic artifacts is a piece of a World War II mural that 80 years ago stood on the north side of the county courthouse.
