Friends of Movieland will be holding their annual membership drive and appreciation dinner on Monday with a bit more urgency than in past years.
In the past, most of the money collected through annual memberships in the local non-profit theater organization has been used for improvements to the building and the overall movie-going experience.
Those funds have purchased new seats, curtains, projectors and screens. They have funded roofing repairs, remodeling, parking improvements and new outdoor marquees, among other improvements.
