Banks and most government offices here will be closed Monday for Veterans Day but schools and a number of businesses will be operating as usual. Dawson County offices will be the exception among the government entities, with the courthouse and other county facilities open on Monday. Lamesa City Hall, and all state and federal offices will be closed for Veterans Day. The Post Office also will be closed, with no mail delivered that day.
