Active COVID-19 cases here continue to increase, and the number of local residents who are fully vaccinated is creeping upward as well. Five new COVID cases were reported here Monday by Zach Holbrooks, executive director of the South Plains Public Health District (SPPHD). That pushed the total number of active cases among Dawson County residents to 35 as of Monday evening.
