The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office now has one more location to send the prisoners it doesn’t have room to house in its own jail.Members of the Dawson County Commissioners Court on Tuesday approved an inmate housing contract with Scurry County.That contract will allow local inmates to be housed in the Scurry County Jail at a cost to Dawson County of $45 per day per inmate.That is just below the average price Dawson County is paying to house prisoners in several other jails across the area, Dawson County Sheriff Matt Hogg said.Hogg said Scurry County currently has 10-12 available spaces in ...
