Last month’s ice storm is taking center stage Thursday as Lamesa Independent School District (LISD) board members vote on several items related to missed school days due to the bad weather. The board meets at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Central Office board room at 212 N. Houston Street. The board will vote on a request to the Texas Education Agency to waive three school days off the calendar. If granted, students will not have to make up Feb. 17-19, days missed due to foul weather.
