Possible criminal charges are pending against a 40-year-old Lamesa man after local law enforcement received a tip that some individuals might be in possession of narcotics. Officers with the Lamesa Police Department responded to a rent house in the 500 block of North 14th Street around 8:10 p.m. last Thursday (Thanksgiving), Chief of Police Dale E. Alwan Sr. told the Press-Reporter. Upon arrival at that location, Chief Alwan said, officers made contact with the male suspect.
