Lamesa Delinting is sponsoring a meeting on Oct. 12 to help local farmers and others learn about the possibility of growing hemp. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the former Automated Controls building, 111 N.E. 14th St. in Lamesa. Featured speaker for the event will be Matt Atwood, founder and president of LoneStar Life Sciences. Vicki Vaszauskas with Lamesa Delinting said Atwood is helping write rules and regulations for hemp production in Texas.
