This year’s rodeo is going to be a little different.Usually the weekend before the rodeo is set aside by the Lamesa Rodeo Association for competitions among local rodeo athletes.That event is now scheduled to happen alongside other rodeo activities on the first night of rodeo action Thursday, Aug. 3.“We’re just going to do it during the rodeo,” said Cody King, a Lamesa Rodeo Association member. “There will be several (local athletes).
