A change in positions for one school administrator has also resulted in an addition to the administrative staff in the Lamesa school system. Richard Soliz, who was an assistant principal at the high school this past year, has been named to a new position as districtwide director of Instructional Technology and Secondary Curriculum. Longtime high school softball coach and special education teacher Vanessa Hernandez has been named to fill the assistant principal position vacated by Soliz at high school.
