Lamesa school board members are hosting two back-to-back meetings Thursday.They are holding a budget workshop session starting at 5 p.m. They’ll conduct a regular meeting at 6 p.m.Chief Financial Officer Ron McBee will present the board with an update on the tax rate and the proposed 2024-2025 budget.At their last meeting, board members looked at a $19.248 million budget.They proposed to set the tax rate at $1.08162 per $100 valuation.The current rate is $1.20390 per $100 valuation.During their regular meeting, board members will hold a public hearing before voting on the 20242025 budget and the tax rate.Board members will also ...
