Walking into a school building is no longer just a stepby- step process.Instead of just grabbing the door handle and pushing, visitors will first have to announce their arrival electronically before they’re allowed through the front door.Door bells, equipped with cameras and two-way speakers, are now installed at the front doors of school buildings and the Lamesa school district’s Central Office.School staff can see and hear you before you’re even allowed into the building.
