Patrons of the Dawson County Public Library saved an estimated $373,000 this past year by borrowing books and other items from the library rather than going out and purchasing them.
That was part of a report presented Tuesday afternoon to the Dawson County Commissioners Court by library director Angie Martinez. The library has submitted its annual report for 2020 to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
Martinez said library activities were down in almost all categories this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
