    The Lamesa High School Winter Guard placed second in the Caprock Color Guard Circuit (CCGC) Championships last Saturday.      The LHS Winter Guard scored a 90.33, while Lubbock-Cooper High School’s varsity narrowly won the competition with a score of 90.42 from the five-judge panel.     Anita Acosta of LHS was named “All-Star Guard Member” by CCGC.       “This capped off a terrific four-event season for the Golden Tornado Band’s Winter Guard, winning trophies at all four CCGC events and beating many major 5A and 6A schools at each contest,” LHS Band Director Robert Rumbelow said.      Past events and how the Winter ...
