Six Lamesa High School students are taking their science and writing skills to the next level of University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions.A total of 23 LHS students competed in UIL events at the District 3-3A meet in Denver City on March 23.Six of those students are heading to regional competition to be held April 22-23 in Abilene.“This year we’ve done better than we’ve done in years past,” said Justin Lindsey, UIL coordinator at LHS.Shakira Habour is going to regionals after earning first place in feature writing.
