The Lamesa High School Golden Tornado Band did it again.They captured top awards in the 35th Denver City Tumbleweed Marching Band Festival held at Denver City High School this past Saturday.Evelisa Vasquez earned the Outstanding Small School Drum Major award.The LHS Color Guard earned the Outstanding Small School Color Guard.The LHS band’s next competition will be at the Lubbock Westerner Marching Festival at Lowery Field, located at 1301 66th Street in Lubbock, starting at 8 p.m. this coming Saturday.General admission is $8. Children five and under get in free.
