Lamesa economic development officials agreed last Friday to sell 8.52 acres of land just east of town to a local oilfield company.The action came during a joint meeting of the directors of both the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation (LEDC)and the Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP).Owned by LEDC, the land is being sold to BEAR Oilfield Services for $5,000 per acre, for a total of $42,600.The property is located on the south side of FM 827, also known locally as Prison Road, a short distance east of a building which formerly housed a boll weevil eradication office, according to LEDC Executive ...
