Lamesa witnessed its first homicide of the year Monday when a man died of multiple gunshot wounds.Lamesa Police Department officers were dispatched to the 400 block of S. Ave. G at approximately 7:13 p.m., Monday in reference to a report of shots fired, according to a press release issued by Police Chief Josh Peterson Wednesday.When they arrived, they discovered one man with injuries.
