Almost 300 bicycle riders, along with family members and other supporters, will be spending time in Lamesa this weekend.
They will be participating in the 30th annual Bike MS: Cactus and Crude Ride from Midland and Lubbock.
Lamesa is the overnight stop on that 147 mile ride which is expected to raise about $470,000 to made a difference in the lives of people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).
“We’ve got 289 cyclists already signed up,” Terri Stahl, coordinator of the ride’s activities in Lamesa, said Tuesday afternoon.
“It’s the biggest bike ride we’ve ever had. They’re coming from everywhere.”
