Dawson County has recorded its first death linked to the COVID-19 virus and authorities also have reported a sixth confirmed case here. The death and the latest case confirmation were announced by Lamesa Mayor Josh Stevens, accompanied by County Judge Foy O’Brien, in a video posted Monday morning on the city’s coronavirus Facebook page. Stevens said an 85-yearold man who was Dawson County’s first confirmed COVID-19 case has died.
