The Klondike school system has been nominated by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to be recognized for a second time as a National Blue Ribbon School.
Klondike school officials received word of the nomination on Monday, with the formal announcement coming on Thursday from TEA and Governor Greg Abbott.
The National Blue Ribbon Schools program, conducted by the U.S. Department of Education, recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools where students perform at very high levels or where significant improvements are being made in students’ academic achievement.
