Masks are now optional for students and staff members at Klondike.
School board members made the decision during their regular meeting this past Monday to make masks optional at school as of Wednesday, March 10.
That action coincides with the governor’s action to drop a statewide mask mandate on the same day.
Superintendent Steve McLaren said the students and employees may still wear masks if they wish but they are no longer required to wear them at school.
