Students in the Klondike ISD could be starting and ending the 2019-2020 school year earlier, if a proposed revision of that school calendar is approved by board members on Thursday night. That meeting will get underway at 7 p.m. in the school library at 2911 CR H southwest of Lamesa. If members of the school board go along with the change to the school calendar, Klondike ISD Superintendent Steve McLaren said, school will start on Thursday, Aug. 15, and will end one week earlier next May.
